Okay more details - Sugar Pop Crosses

I like to call this quilt Sugar Pop Crosses. I made this using the tutorial from the Greek Cross tutorial on fresh lemon quilts blog. Fresh Lemon Quilts tutorialThe difference I made was in cutting as I used a layer cake of Sugar Pop by Moda. When cutting out from the layer cake I took into account the direction of the design. This way my complete cross was in the same direction.
Firstly I matched the 2 colours I wanted together.

The layer cake needs to be vertically aligned so I cut a 4.5 x 10" piece.

I then took 4.5 off this to make the square.

From the remains I cut 2 lots of 2.5 x 4.5. From the 5.5 x 10" pice I cut a 2.5 x 10" strip. Then I cut this down into 2 lots of 2.5 x 4.5" This is how the pattern is connected. I did all my corners in the 1 colour (brown with white dots) so I needed 2 lots of  5" square of this and 2 lots of the background colour per cross. I did all my cutting in groups of crosses so I could try to strip sew as much as possible. It is a fantastic tutorial!

Sorry about the photos I am out of practice!!

But here is the finished quilt. The back is 2 of the designs in the Sugar Pop line and the binding matches the corners.
